Central Solutions R&D credentials are to be further enhanced with the announcement of two new projects funded under the EPA Research Awards 2017.
The 2017 EPA Research Programme received 106 applicants and resulted in 31 awards. The total amount of EPA funding committed all to these projects amounts to €6,857,413. Central Solutions will be working on two projects under the ‘Sustainability’ and the ‘United Nations Sustainable Development Goals’ research categories.
The first research project is focussed on investigating the area of environmental compliance and enforcement both in Ireland and internationally with a view to identifying what factors drive and influence corporate compliance behaviour amongst the regulated community nationally.
The second project involves using the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as a reference point to investigate the landscape of sustainable development in Ireland and assess the impact of selected stakeholders, policies and supports on SDG achievement.
These projects see the further expansion of the R&D team at Central Solutions’ Limerick offices which operates across areas such as Lean Six Sigma, Water Stewardship, Corporate Sustainability and Behavioural Change.
